PSA Overview

Target Audience:

The target audience for this project is everyone because people of all ages litter.

Message:

 

The message the video will be trying to get across is that littering is destroying our planet.

 

Action step:

 

Don't throw garbage on the ground, always put it in the proper container.

 

Significance:

 

It teaches them not to litter and teaches them the consequences if they do commit this act

 

Summary of the PSA

This PSA gives information about littering and why it is destroying our environment. It tells you facts about littering such as why it is a problem. It tells you the reason people litter all the time. The do's and don'ts of littering show what you should do and what you should not do with garbage. This PSA also explains what you can do to help against littering.

Content / Message

 

    For my PSA I think the message of no littering is quite clear and easy to figure out. The target audience for this PSA was everyone and I think I succeeded in making a PSA that is accessible by all ages. This PSA has plenty of facts and details about littering that are from accurate sites. My PSA has a proper title/beginning, body, and ending message/credits. It is easy to follow this video since there is no story. The pictures are not cited properly. The PSA has links to group websites related to littering.

Persuasiveness / Effectiveness

 

    Does the video appeal to youth? The PSA is viewable by teenagers. It is not really special and probably won't make much of an impact. It is believable, but won't really seriously convince you not to litter. This video is meant to make you stop littering and help out by picking up garbage and preventing others from littering.

Creativity

 

    The PSA is made entirely by me and my partner. The PSA is not really original at all, not creative, and won't really grab much attention.

  • The PSA has good quality images and sound. IT is well within the time requirements and is 480p quality in the proper format. The video has a  clear beginning, middle and end, and is easy to follow but it has no plot. The graphics and text may have problems. We have no dialogue and rely on text and images/film. The language and content is proper for school. I only use one basic transition and it does not ruin the video or detract away from it. The music does not fit with the video at all and may be distracting. The camera work is not very good and bobs a lot. The video starts and ends with the proper video black.
